The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES) recently passed has allocated $350 billion to help small businesses keep workers employed. The Paycheck Protection Program provides 100% federally guaranteed loans to small businesses, which may be forgiven if employers maintain their payrolls. A summary of the program has been prepared by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce which addresses the questions 1. Am I eligible? 2. What will lenders look for? 3. How much can I borrow? and 4. Will this loan be forgiven? The summary can be found at the link below. Additional guidance and resources can be found at uschamber.com/co.
